Making Progress: Beloved Community 2.0

In King’s vision the Beloved Community is free not just of racism, but of all oppressions. The most recent Black Lives Matter platform recognizes the importance of “intersectionality” – a fancy word for, “don’t leave anyone out,” including those who identify as lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning, +. Westminster first became a certified Welcoming Congregation over 30 years ago. As we imagine a Beloved Community for 2021, what might progress look like for us?
