We often talk about building community and the value of congregational life. And yet the truth is congregational connection is made one person at a time. Friendship is perhaps the greatest gift of life and though making new friends at any age can feel scary, it is infinitely rewarding.
This Sunday as we join together for our annual In-Gathering and Water Communion ritual we celebrate the power of making and nurturing friendships. Bring a jar of water from anywhere special to you and we will join them together in affirmation of the power of friendship and congregational community.
