Alongside every religious concept, belief and ritual is the persistent question: how then shall we live? From monasteries and convents to kibbutzim, intentional communities and communes; from multi-generational family living to religious congregations, we humans have tried to form mini-societies to help us live according to our morals and beliefs. Sometimes that works well, often we fall short even in those spaces. Given that fact, our question this morning is: how, then, shall we live, knowing that neither we nor anyone else will live a perfected life?
