Throughout the ages, people and nations have gone to war, always at costs greater than we can imagine. On this Memorial Day, we honor those who have died while in service to the country, and in particular, we acknowledge the often hidden places those victims reside. War is expensive to solve political and cultural conflict, and the casualties extend far beyond the battlefield. Let us use this national holiday to pause, reflect, and then commit ourselves to help heal the harms that have been done while we work to create a world of compassion and peace.
Note: We use YouTube to live-stream our Sunday worship services on our church website.
Sunday worship services are simulcast on the large LCD screen in Smith Hall on Sunday morning. If you have trouble finding a seat in the Sanctuary or would be more comfortable in a more open space, you can watch the service in Smith Hall.
