We all know that music of all genres has the power to shift our energy, enliven us, and even transform us. This Sunday, we invite you to enter into that transformational energy of music through devotional chanting in the style of the great Kirtan tradition. With roots in the ancient Indian Vedic tradition, a kirtan is a call-and-response style chant, set to music, in which the names of one or more deities are called forth with love and devotion. One need not have a personal relationship with the deity to appreciate the energies that are being invoked and feel one’s heart open. Join kirtan lovers Rev. Deborah, Shelley Dungan, and Greg Sabatino and allow yourself to discover the beauty and power of devotional chanting. To view the Order of Service, click HERE.
Note: We use YouTube to live-stream our Sunday worship services on our church website.
Sunday worship services are simulcast on the large LCD screen in Smith Hall on Sunday morning. If you have trouble finding a seat in the Sanctuary or would be more comfortable in a more open space, you can watch the service in Smith Hall.
