9:00 AM – Kirtan Sādhana Service – 10:30 AM Reaching Out

9:00 AM Service Kirtan Sādhana Service Led by Shaelley Dungan and Greg Sabatino

A universal spiritual practice of chant, poetry, silence, and reflection

Sunday, December 28 • 9:00 AM

Led by Rev. Shelley Dungan & Greg Sabatino

As the year comes to a close, you are warmly invited into a peaceful, contemplative service designed to quiet the mind and open the heart. Kirtan Sādhana blends simple chanting, sacred poetry, and moments of shared silence to create a spacious environment for inner reflection and renewal.

“Kirtan” refers to the gentle practice of call-and-response singing, and “Sādhana” means a spiritual practice that helps us return to presence. Together, these elements invite us into grounding, connection, and a deeper listening within ourselves and with one another.

No experience with chanting or meditation is needed—participate in whatever way feels comfortable: listen, hum, sing, or simply rest in the shared field of sound.

All are welcome.

Most of us would agree that we want our congregations to be healthy and welcoming and that we want them to grow. What are some ways to make this
happen? Our speaker has been a UU for more than 60 years, and we’ll hear interesting stories centered around these ideas.
