There comes a time in each of our lives, whether daily or yearly or every once in a while, when we really need to take account of our lives. What have been the real results of our actions or inactions? Where have we intentionally or unintentionally harmed another? And the list of questions goes on. But then what? How do we move forward after facing the reality of our imperfections? Where’s the balance between confessing and moving on? In this time when our Jewish friends and neighbors are asked to take this accounting during Yom Kippur, we as UUs are invited to do the same with the intention of building more belonging among us all.
