Your Interim Ministry “Transition Team” has planned a special Sunday on May 14, 2023

We received so many terrific ideas about possible Sunday activities – beyond our already wonderful traditional Sunday schedule – that we’d like to ‘demonstrate’ how a few additions could be arranged.

We encourage people to pick-and-choose the offerings that they’d like to attend – please don’t feel that any one is expected to attend them all.  But, if something on the schedule catches your interest, please feel invited to come and participate.  ALL are WELCOME at any of these activities.

May 14, 2023 – Sunday Activities Schedule:

8:45 – 9:40am Choir Rehearsal  (Smith Hall):  All are welcome.   Ever wondered about singing in the choir?  Give it a try this morning!

9:00 – 9:30am: Meditation Practices – Outside:

A: We begin with 5 minutes of Seated Meditation, focusing on Breath and Mindfulness with Wendy Warburton

B: Participants are invited to choose one of three 15-minute meditations: Tai-Chi (led by Nancy Reed), Walking Meditation (lead by Stephen Conlon) or Seated (individually).

C: All Participants re-gather for a 5-10 minute Guided Meditation with Stephen.

9:00 – 9:30am: Forum (Chapel, upstairs): Transitions Team member, Laura Giusti-Haan will lead a discussion of “Gratitude Practices”.

9:30 – 9:45: Sharing Joys and Sorrows  (Library): A gathering for people to share the joys and sorrows they are carrying prior to the Sunday Service.

9:45: Gathering Music in the Sanctuary

10:00: Flower Communion Worship Service Service (Sanctuary): Please remember to bring a flower with you.

11:00: Mother’s Day Picnic & Open Mic (Front Lawn and Smith Hall)

Bring a blanket and picnic lunch. If the weather is nice, we’ll gather on the Lawn.  We’ll have sub sandwiches available as well.

During the Picnic we invite people to share Poetry, Music, and Stories from the Open Mic.  Kevin Fetzer will Emcee until 11:30!

AND: Enjoy Pickleball, Cornhole and Sidewalk Chalk.

11:30 (or shortly after the picnic) Adult RE (Sanctuary): The Global Landscape of Unitarian Universalism – Join Rev. Eric for a 45 minute presentation/discussion about the breadth of Unitarian and Universalist communities around the world.
