Opening Words
Opening Hymn – #1051 We Are…
- For each child that’s born, a morning star rises and sings to the universe who we are. For each child that’s born, a morning star rises and sings to the universe who we are.
- We are our grandmothers’ prayers and we are our grandfathers’ dreamings, we are the breath of our ancestors, we are the spirit of God. We are mothers of courage and fathers of time, we are daughters of dust and the sons of great visions we’re sisters of mercy and brothers of love, we are lovers of life and the builders of nations, we’re seekers of truth and keepers of faith, we are makers of peace and the wisdom of ages.
- We are our grandmothers’ prayers and we are our grandfathers’ dreamings, we are the breath of our ancestors, we are the spirit of God. For each child that’s born, a morning star rises and sings to the universe who we are.
Unison Affirmation

And service our mission
This is our great covenant
To dwell together in peace
To seek the truth in love
And to help one another

Offering: October’s Share the Plate Recipient is The Sharing Locker
The Sharing Locker is one of Westminster’s outreach projects and has been in operation since February 2010. Westminster reaches out to anyone in Washington or Kent County as well as Cranston residents who are experiencing a need for assistance by offering household goods, a seasonal farmer’s market, and/or pet food. Our operation is, by design, closely aligned to our Westminster vision and mission. We have continued to serve clients even during the pandemic. To donate:http://34.197.179.157/donate/

Closing Hymn: #1021 Lean on Me
- Sometimes in our lives we all have pain, we all have sorrow. But if we are wise we know that there’s always tomorrow.
Chorus: Lean on me when you’re not strong and I’ll be your friend, I’ll help you carry on, For it won’t be long ’til I’m gonna need somebody to lean on. Just call on me brother when you need a hand. We all need somebody to lean on. I just might have a problem that you’d understand. We all need somebody to lean on.
2. Please swallow your pride if I have things you need to borrow, For no one can fill those of your needs that you won’t let show.
- If there is a load you have to bear that you can’t carry, I’m right up the road, I’ll share your load if you just call me.
