Bios for Rev. Mary Doane and Sylvia Foster

Rev. Mary Doane has served churches of many different faiths. She was ordained as the minister of music at the UU church in Exeter, New Hampshire. She has also designed and implemented the environmental arts organization “Project Nature”, and so, part of her work in the world has been developing programs for children in which she teaches new ways of experiencing the natural world. She is retired from the Exeter church. From her studio in Dover, New Hampshire, she teaches piano. She also directs a local choral group.

Sylvia Foster grew up in the Bangor, Maine, Universalist Church and has been a member of the Exeter, New Hampshire UU church for thirty years. She’s been a choir member, and leader of social justice and green sanctuary committees. She is retired as an administrator of educational programs for the University of New Hampshire President’s Commissions on equity and inclusion and remains as teaching staff in the Women’s and Gender Studies program. She also serves on the Boards of 350NH Action for renewable energy and The Racial Unity Team of New Hampshire.
