The Board of Trustees

Each year the members of Westminster elect a board of dedicated fellow members whom they trust to oversee our finances, the property, staffing and our overall well-being and safety. They work closely with the staff and minister to ensure that everything we do is aligned with our mission and values. Monthly meetings, which take place on the third Tuesday of the month from 7 - 9 pm, are open to all members. To inquire about board activities or to get involved, contact April Cambre at Boardchair@westminsteruu.org

Meet the Board of Trustees

April Cambre - President

I started coming to Westminster for the youth program for my kids. Twelve years later, my “kids” are now young adults and I realized that Westminster has added something to my life that I did not know that I was missing.

Eva Gagnon - Vice President

I was delighted to return to Westminster in 2025 after twenty years away. It’s wonderful to be back among such a kind, committed, welcoming and fun group of people as we accompany and help one another on our spiritual journeys.  I look forward to offering my time and skills as Vice-President as we work together to ensure Westminster continues to thrive and grow as a liberal religious community.

Jamie La Salle - Treasurer

I've been honored to serve the WUC community for over 20 years. I'm thankful for the trust this community has placed in me and knowing that my work has contributed to the health and mission of this church is deeply rewarding. Plus, I'm finally getting the hang of this treasurer gig!

Laura Guisti - Secretary

I fell in love with Westminster after seeing how the community was living values that were important to me, and I’ve been a member for nearly 15 years. I am grateful for the ways that being in leadership positions have deepened my relationships with others and helped me grow and develop new skills.

Renee Bucklin - Member at Large - Coordinating Council

I am a life-long humanist and a member of Westminster since 1996. I have been honored to serve the WUC community in several capacities and am excited to be on the Board now.

Deb LaSalle - Member at Large - Safe Congregations

WUC has been my spiritual home since 2001. I love sharing sacred space with fabulous people who have similar values. I'm excited to begin a leadership position this year.

Ken DiPrete - Property Liason

Enjoying my 11th year with the Westminster community. Member of SEEJ group as well as Property Committee. Happy to be a part of this volunteer culture!

The Committee on Ministry

The Committee on Ministry is a team of committed Westminster members who work directly with the minister providing input and vision for all of the program ministries of the congregation as well as being the “vibe” watchers for all we do. They represent a wide variety of interests and engagement at Westminster. Members serve for 3- 6 years and are selected by the minster with Board of Trustee approval. Contact them at Com@westminsteuu.org with your input.

Meet the Committee on Ministry

Bill Stone

“I have been a member of Westminster Unitarian for over 20 years and have served in a variety of roles with the church. Currently I serve on the Lay Pastoral Care team and enjoy playing with the Band. I believe in the power of Westminster to create beloved community, which nurtures the souls of people of all ages throughout the cycle of life. I live in Providence with my wife and have two adult children who were raised as part of the Westminster community.”

Tracey Wysor

“I’ve been a member of Westminster since 2005. My husband Brian and I love being part of Westminster and are grateful to be able to raise our three children in this wonderful community. I have played numerous roles at WUC both on the Board (President, Vice-President, Past President, Member-at-Large), and on committees (Worship, Team Renewal, Safer Congregations, Finance, Committee on Ministry, Tech Team). I love volunteering at Sharing Locker (when I’m not at my kids’ swim meets), teaching RE, and participating in our monthly Book Club.”

Becky “BK ” Karb

“I have attended Westminster with my family since our arrival in East Greenwich in 2018. Over the years, we have found community within UU fellowships in Tucson Arizona, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Boston, Massachusetts. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as a member of the Committee on Ministry at WUC and to further the goal of deepening community-building and social justice work both inside and outside of the church.”

Susan Farrell

“I joined Westminster in 1996. I’ve been an active member of Women Of Westminser, an RE teacher, a member of the Board, a guest speaker at OWL, on the Welcoming Congregation committee, a Sharing Locker volunteer, committee member and leader. I married Donna Lico at Westminster in 1996. We have 2 sons who were dedicated as babies and attended RE. I think we were the first lesbian family at Westminster, and thrived on the love and support we were embraced with here.”

Laura Guisti

Laura serves on both our Board of Trustees and the Committee on Ministry as well as being the chair of our Connection Groups for many years. Laura is also a pickleball extrodinaire.
