The Sera Jey Lawa Khangtsen World Peace Tour is a mobile educational journey led by Venerable Tashi Lama and five fellow monks from Lawa Khangtsen at Sera Jey Monastery in South India.
Each stop is shaped in collaboration with its host community. Our program at Westminster includes a sacred sand mandala creation, Buddhist teachings, meditation, dialogue, sacred music, lama dance, community conversations, and a mandala dissolution ceremony.
The purpose is not entertainment, but an invitation to become peacemakers by examining the inner causes of conflict and cultivating compassion, reconciliation, forgiveness, and nonviolence. The tour is offered in the spirit of bodhicitta: the wish that all beings be free from suffering and the commitment to help make that real. The tour is organized and sponsored by Lion's Roar Dharma Center in Sacramento, California.
