“The Power of the Word”

Spiritual autobiography is a profoundly beautiful genre, and also a personal practice for many. Reading the life journeys of people like Maya Angelou, N. Scott Momaday, and Will Campbell has been deeply influential and instructive for me – and perhaps for you. Reflection and exploration of this type often reveals both a long, smooth arc of life – a pattern – but also important ‘turn-around’ moments that ‘changed everything’. Let’s consider the power of the written word – written by others and written by ourselves – this morning.

Sunday worship services are simulcast on the large LCD screen in Smith Hall on Sunday morning. If you have trouble finding a seat in the Sanctuary, or would just be more comfortable being in a more open space, you’re welcome to watch the service in Smith Hall.

Newcomer Welcome 11:15 AM
After services, we will have a Newcomer Welcome in the Meeting Room.
Every month Westminster offers a “Newcomer Welcome”. If you haven’t attended a Newcomer Welcome before, this is an informal opportunity to meet with church members to learn more about Westminster.
