The Providence Rescue Mission is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization in the West End of Providence. All of the services provided are made available at no cost to every member of the community.
Regardless of their situation, The Providence Rescue Mission provides a safe place to spend the night. It is open 365 nights a year, to provide emergency overnight accommodations for an average of 70 homeless men and 30 homeless women. Overnight guests have the ability to take a hot shower, access toiletries and hygiene products, sleep in a clean bed, and have breakfast and fresh hot coffee in the morning. Approximately 38,325 individuals receive the ability to access safe shelter annually at the Providence Rescue Mission because of community help and support.
Additionally, The Road to Recovery sobriety program offers opportunities and tools for individuals to receive their high school diploma, apply for college, receive career and job advice from teachers and mentors.
