Our Values in Action at the State House!

The UU Legislative Ministry of Rhode Island invites you to join us via Zoom this Sunday, April 25, at 2:00 pm to learn about some important bills in the General Assembly this year. This year, you can testify in legislative hearings from home, so there’s no reason not to get involved! We will hear briefly from local experts about bills addressing Gun Violence, Environmental Protection, Women’s Reproductive Rights, Black Lives Matter, Voting Rights, and Suicide Prevention, each followed by Q&A.  June Speakman, Professor of Political Science at Roger Williams University and RI Representative, will give the keynote address, “Progressives in the General Assembly:  Past, Present, and Future.” For more information, please click HERE.
