Reverend Bob McKetchnie

Until July of 2012 the Westminster Unitarian Church will be served by the Interim Parish Minister, Bob McKetchnie.

Reverend Bob graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in 2000 and has been the minister of the First Parish UU Church of Medfield since 2001. Bob has had many positions within the Mass Bay District and the UUA while simultaneously working in Medfield. He has served on the Council of Church Staff Finances, worked as a suburban/urban liaison for the U.U. Urban Ministry, and served as Treasurer for the Tuckerman Coalition, a ministry to the poor in Boston.

Rev. Barbara Fast

Position: 
Past Minister

Rev. Barbara Fast became Westminster's minister in 2006 and was called to Danbury, CT in 2010. The spirit and warmth engendered by her ministry are with us still. 

Rev. Frederick Gillis

Position: 
Reverend Emeritus

Rev. Frederick Gillis became Westminster’s minister in 1977 and retired in 2003. When he retired, the Board of Directors name him “Minister Emeritus.” Fred is now living out of the immediate area.

Are you more likely to “reach out” to others in your daily interactions or would you rather go unnoticed about your business? Do you talk to strangers on a crowded train? Are you warmed by the smile of an infant given freely to you from the infant’s mother’s arms? Today’s sermon will look at these questions and others and reflect on what they mean spiritually.

Religious education and childcare will be provided at the 9am service.
The choir will sing at 11am.

How important is a sense of belonging in your life? Are our daily habits and evolving sociological and technological innovations adversely affecting our occasions for warmth and rapport? Today’s sermon will explore how a strong sense of belonging may open us to others or may make us less approachable.
