Reverend Bob McKetchnie
Until July of 2012 the Westminster Unitarian Church will be served by the Interim Parish Minister, Bob McKetchnie.
Reverend Bob graduated from Andover Newton Theological School in 2000 and has been the minister of the First Parish UU Church of Medfield since 2001. Bob has had many positions within the Mass Bay District and the UUA while simultaneously working in Medfield. He has served on the Council of Church Staff Finances, worked as a suburban/urban liaison for the U.U. Urban Ministry, and served as Treasurer for the Tuckerman Coalition, a ministry to the poor in Boston.
Bob was active in lobbying the Massachusetts State house during the campaign to legalize same sex marriage. In addition to personally visiting legislators on a regular basis he facilitated workshops on how to lobby at the State House to those who were doing so for the first time.
Currently Bob serves the UUA as liaison to the U.U. students on campus at Andover-Newton Theological School. Bob has a wife, Janet and twin sons Ryan and Gregory. Janet is an accountant and song writer. Ryan and Greg are juniors at Boston University.
